Big In Japan
Big In Japan began life as a three-part episode, but executives at Warner Bros. figured making the already feature-length story into a made-for-TV movie would create more money making opportunities; namely a home video release. NBC, for their part, figured it would only help to make it into an even bigger event. The movie would premiere in its typical 8/7c Thursday timeslot at the height of the winter sweeps period: airing on February 18th, 1993.
