A special Thursday night event that saw Norm Peterson (George Wendt) visiting the Ten of Us gang. It was followed by Father Hargis (Frank Bonner) doing a reciprocal guest role on Cheers, helping Sam through a crisis of faith brought on by a string of bad luck. Unsurprisingly, the Cheers connection (and the Cosby lead-in) made this episode the highest rated Just the Ten of Us to that point, getting a 18.1 rating, the 6th most watched show that week. Its Thursday night performance would prove significant later.
